MarinHealth Endocrine & Diabetes Care | A UCSF Health Clinic

MarinHealth Endocrine & Diabetes Care, a UCSF Health Clinic, provides state-of-the-art endocrine consultative services for
patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. It has a proud 33-year history. The exceptional care team currently
includes three board-certified endocrinologists, an experienced NP, and support of medical, business, and research
professionals. Patient care includes consultative services, education, prevention, and treatment of diabetes mellitus,
glycemic issues, gland disorders (thyroid, pituitary, parathyroid), hormonal issues, osteoporosis, and more. The practice has
current clinic locations in Greenbrae and Novato.

The Braden Diabetes Center

The Braden Diabetes Center, which opened in late 2013, is an ADA-approved comprehensive outpatient diabetes center
that provides care, support, education, and consultation/treatment that provides care, support, education, and consultation/treatment. It is a consultative service on referral from more than 400 Bay Area practitioners. The Center also serves as a bridge clinic to help hospitalized patients manage their diabetes in transition. The team at Braden Diabetes Center includes endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, RDs, an NP and RN staff. They are a CMS approved Diabetes Prevention Program as well. The Braden Diabetes Center hosts diabetes services for OB/Perinatology consultants for gestational diabetes and also hosts pediatric endocrinology consultants of the UCSF Madison Clinic for pediatric diabetes. Dr. Sharleen Sidhu serves as the Medical Director.

The Position

  • Highly respected practice, with three endocrinologists and one NP.
  • Full-time position is 36 patient-facing hours per week.
  • Primary responsibilities include outpatient with some inpatient responsibilities.
  • Provide care to highly desirable Marin County communities, including Sausalito and Novato, and possible expansion into Sonoma County.
  • Call is shared equally amongst the group; triage is primarily by phone with support from IP team.
  • Epic electronic health records utilized in the clinic and at the Medical Center.
  • Participation in ADA-accredited Braden Diabetes Center outpatient and JCAHO-accredited inpatient Diabetes Care Programs.
  • MarinHealth Medical Center has an award-winning certified stroke center; telemedicine is available in ED.
  • Potential opportunities for teaching and/or academic appointment through UCSF.

The Position Requirements

  • A philosophy of care that prioritizes exceptional patient care and exemplary patient experience.
  • Board certified or eligible (with intent to become certified within 1 year) in Endocrinology is required.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in California.
  • Interest in Diabetes and clinical research.
  • Spanish language skills a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation range of $275,000 - $350,000 depending on experience.
